A Quick Guide To Superhero Movies

Basically all the highest grossing superhero movies coming out will be out in the next year or two and you could probably use a quick primer to figure out which ones you want to see.  If you’re a geek for comic book movies, then you’ll probably want to see all of them, so strap in, and put your underwear on the outside for this quick guide to superhero movies.

We’ll break it down by which universe you’ll be seeing, and then move forward from there.

DC: DC is the company that brought you the Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.  A lot of these superheroes don’t necessarily have movies out right now, but I assure you they will soon.

You’ll definitely need to see The Dark Knight Rises which is the final installation in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.  Heath Ledger obviously won’t be in it, but Bane will be the bad guy as played by Tom Hardy.  He wears a weird mask and a pretty pissed fur trench coat thing.  Joseph Gordon Levitt will also be in it this time around as well as old favorites like Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman.  It’s going to be the end of the series, so get excited!

Additionally, we can expect to see a Superman movie reboot appearing in a few years, in conjunction with possibly a Justice League movie, which will be the answer to Marvel’s The Avengers.  I also hear they’ll have an adaptation of Wonder Woman showing up soon, so keep an eye out for that!

Marvel: Marvel has brought you a ton of superheroes which are almost too numerous to count and list at this point, but get excited for a few new ones popping up in theaters really soon.

The Amazing Spiderman is showing up in theaters this summer and stars Andrew Garfield as our favorite wisecracking webslinger.  This is a reboot, not a sequel to the Toby Maguire series of years past.

We also expect to see sequels to The Avengers, Iron Man, and Captain America in the near future, so that should make for a wild CGI filled ride.

So obviously you’ve got plenty of movies to see in the next few years, and I’m sure they’ll all turn out pretty well, so I recommend you get out and see them!  Remember that you read this quick guide to superhero movies!
