What Is It Like to be a Woman? From a Man’s Point of View

Men spend so much time looking for women they never really know who they are? Just like a hunter who studies his game and what makes them tick, you too should put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself, “What is it like to be a woman?”

The Male and Female Brain

Three evolutionary psychology researchers from the University of Cambridge, Simon Frasier University and The London School of Economics, conducted studies of the male and female brain. What they discovered is that the male brain is wired with “systemizing tendencies and mechanistic thinking” while the female brain uses “empathizing tendencies and mentalistic thinking”. In other words, guys like to know how things work and how to fix them, girls like to feel emotions and understand where they come from. So, the next time your woman is complaining about her best friend, don’t try to fix the problem, simply listen and support and you just may get some sex down the line.

The Primping

Most men have no idea what goes into the experience of seeing them. When a woman knows she’s going to see her man, it becomes a major portion of her thought process. It may even take days of planning what to wear, waxing, douching, make-up application and discussing it with every friend. When you see her, make sure you really see her. Try to genuinely comment on her shoes, her dress, her hair, her teeth, anything that will make her realize that you notice and that all her work was not in vain.

The Everyday

When a woman walks into the world she is immediately on stage. Men simply throw on a pair of sweats and a dirty t-shirt to go to the store. For most women, when they leave their home they are constantly thinking if they look right. They are often scrutinized either peripherally or head on by almost every type of man they encounter. Can you imagine going through your day of constantly being looked over by every woman that you pass? Sounds amazing right? Well for women it is a Catch-22. Most men are creeps so iPods can help drown them out, however the attractive ones “get the look”. Either way it almost seems as if it is a constant chore just to walk down the street.

Sex

Being a woman is like being a walking barometer. Smells, tastes, visuals, sounds and touch are up front and center. Therefore, when it comes to sex, most of her time is spent ‘feeling’ every aspect of the experience rather than getting to the orgasm and drinking a beer. Remember, woman need to be coddled, kissed, whispered to, fed, amazed, empowered, dominated and any other hoop you can jump through to get and keep their motor running.

What is it like to be a woman? The above is just the tip of the iceberg. For more insight, read “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” by John Gray.
